El Morenito de Jerez

Jose A. Bersabé Romero, "El Morenito de Jerez" was born on December 21st, 1990. He is a young flamenco artist from Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusia, known as the cradle of flamenco singing.
He comes from a lineage of flamenco artists that instilled his passion for flamenco from birth. His grandfather, Antonio Romero Blanco, "El Churri", encouraged Jose to listen and to internalize the art of flamenco. Since he comes from a branch well-known in that culture, he was exposed to the singing of Juan Romero Pantoja, "El Guapo", who has been considered to be the best Saeta singer of Jerez. He was also exposed to the art of flamenco dancing by Mercedes Blanco, "La Churra", a dancer from the Peña Tio Jose de Paula, one of the most artistic peñas of the neighborhood of Santiago.
Morenito came to the United States several years ago and has performed in several venues in the state of Texas, such as:
